Cape's Core Features
The privacy & security advantages you won’t find anywhere else.

Everything a carrier should be. Premium, nationwide coverage, privacy and security features baked into our core.
Feature 01
Minimal Data Collection
Use your phone with the peace of mind that your personal information and activity isn’t collected, exploited, or sold.

Your carrier tracks you. We don’t.
Most carriers start tracking you the moment you sign up. Once you’re connected, nearly everything is tracked: who you talk to, what you browse, where you go, often down to the minute. That information is packaged into detailed profiles, sold to advertisers and data brokers, and left vulnerable to breaches that can expose you to stalking, fraud, or identity theft.
We can’t misuse data we never ask for.
Cape is different. We collect the minimum amount of information necessary to provide our service. No names, no Social Security numbers, no addresses. (This also makes our onboarding process much faster.) Any information that we do collect is stored for the minimum amount of time possible. And, we never sell your data. Period.
Feature 02
SIM Swap Protection
Don’t trust us. Secure your number and prevent SIM swaps with a private key only you control.

Your phone number is the key to your digital identity—and attackers know it.
SIM swaps happen when an attacker convinces your carrier to transfer your number to their device. From there, they can receive your texts and calls, trigger password resets, and gain access to your accounts—banking, crypto, social media, chat apps, or anything they can exploit for financial gain. Once a SIM swap starts, it’s nearly impossible to stop.
Cape removes humans from the loop.
During signup, you’ll receive a 24-word phrase that generates a private key tied to your number. This phrase is the only way to move your number to a new device or carrier. Cape never sees it, never stores it, and no one, not even Cape, can move your number without it.
Feature 03
Enhanced Signaling Protection
Prevent attackers from tracking your location or intercepting your calls and texts.

Your carrier’s infrastructure is old and vulnerable.
Traditional cellular networks were designed for interoperability and compatibility, not security. That means anyone with the right tools—and enough motivation—can exploit weaknesses to track your location, impersonate your device, or intercept your texts and calls.
Cape is redesigning cellular infrastructure from the ground up.
Our Enhanced Signaling Protection uses a proprietary proxy to verify that your device’s physical location matches the network it’s trying to attach to. If anything looks suspicious—like a mismatched location—we block the connection.
Feature 04
Encrypted Voicemail
Keep your voicemails truly private, so that only you can listen to them.

Voicemails can reveal more than you think.
From personal messages to authentication codes, voicemails often contain sensitive information. Yet, most voicemail systems are outdated and unencrypted. Some have even exposed user data through open servers or misconfigurations.
Cape does it differently.
Each voicemail is encrypted on arrival and can only be decrypted by the private key stored on your device. Even if someone gains access to Cape’s backend systems, your messages stay encrypted and private.
Feature 05
Private Payment
Pay for your subscription without handing over your name or credit card details to Cape.

Most carriers collect your payment data and directly tie it to your personal identity.
They require full billing details, run credit checks using your Social Security number, and then store your credit card on file in insecure systems.
Cape keeps them separate.
When you pay for your Cape plan, we don’t ask for your name or address—just your card number and ZIP code. Your card information is tokenized, meaning it’s converted into a secure, non-sensitive code that Stripe processes directly. Cape never stores your credit card information. To comply with tax laws, we retain your ZIP code for up to three years, but it’s not linked to your account and can’t be used to identify you.
Don't trust us. See it for yourself.
